PONIES IN SHOWS

Boomer
We started boomer as a 2 year old in 2005 showing and it became apparent he needed a little more maturing. In 2006 he came home with a Championship in one division and Reserve in another. He loves to jump and right now we're working on his striding into the jumps. Our grandson will ride him soon until he is sold.

Ginger
Ginger isn't a Chincoteague pony but we're going to brag about her anyway. We were in Virginia at a sport horse sale and saw this pony. Our grandson (who was not with us) was having a bit of a confidence problem and hadn't cantered yet. The woman selling her was selling her school horses and said she might "no sale" her depending on who bought her. Well, grampa jumped right in there and it kept going and going. Christie, our daughter, had her head in her lap and said she ws going to be sick. Finally, the other person gave up. Ginger is a packer and totally takes care of her rider. We tried to tell our grandson we needed him to care for her until Christmas because she was a present for a little boy. We couldn't do it when we saw how much he loves her. He cantered her on day one bareback and came home with a championship ribbon their first show. They have been inseparable ever since. They are now jumping. So much for the confidence problem.
